    Warrenton, VA - The Digital Signage Federation (DSF) announced that DOOH.com will offer DSF members a discount to the industry's premier vendor directory, the DOOHFinder Directory.  DSF Members will receive a 20% discount on their listing in the directory.

    The new DOOHFinder Directory is designed for multiple levels of exposure in conjunction with content interaction.  Additionally, for convenience, the listings in available sections are optionally controlled by DOOHFinder members.  An integrated user interface provides members a place where they can log in to add, modify, or remove any approved details or content related to their listing.  Depending on the package selected, this would range from the basic contact information to videos, photo galleries, additional pages, social networking website links, and any special promotions you may choose to provide for your prospective customers.

    Warrenton, VA – The Digital Signage Federation (DSF), a professional membership association, announced today 2011 DSF Board of Directors.

    DSF Chairman Rich Cooley said “We are proud of the election process we went through to select the leadership of the DSF.  We had more than twice as many nominees as positions on the board, reflecting the enthusiasm for this organization.  This shows that we truly are an independent organization of and for the members of the DSF”.

    Warrenton, VA – The Digital Signage Federation (DSF), a professional membership association, announced today the release of new industry standards for digital signage privacy.  The “Digital Signage Privacy Standards” are a set of voluntary privacy guidelines recommended by DSF for digital signage companies, their partners and the venues that host these systems.

    Rich Cooley, DSF Chairman, said “The DSF is excited about these new privacy standards.  A lot of work went into creating this policy and I am exceptionally proud of the volunteer committee that created this standard.  DSF will be rolling out a number of these types of standards and guidelines to help DSF members increase professionalism within the industry.”

    The DSF Standards Committee is comprised of eight members from different sectors of the industry, and is chaired by Ken Goldberg, CEO of Real Digital Media.  Harley Geiger, a committee member and Policy Counsel at the Center for Democracy & Technology, was instrumental in leading the effort to develop policies that safeguard consumer privacy and preserve the public’s trust in the digital signage industry.  Subsequently, the Digital Signage Privacy Standard includes strong principles in the following categories:

    • Transparency 
    • Individual Participation 
    • Purpose Specification 
    • Data Minimization 
    • Use Limitation 
    • Data Quality & Integrity 
    • Security 
    • Accountability 
    “The success of interactive digital signage depends on the industry maintaining consumers’ confidence that their privacy is respected and their personal information is protected,” said Mr. Geiger.  “The Digital Signage Privacy Standards are an excellent step in the right direction, and now it is up to individual companies to put these standards to good use.”

    “We hope and expect that this document will be a platform for creating trust with consumers and assuring the integrity of networks, which is central to the general acceptance and evolution of digital signage. Our entire committee was engaged on this first effort, which is a measure of how important the topic is across many domains.” said Mr. Goldberg.

    Digital Signage Federation Announces Sponsors for the 2011 Golf Tournament Supporting DSF Student Chapters
    Professional membership association the Digital Signage Federation (DSF) announced today a number of companies have agreed to sponsor the DSF Annual Golf Tournament on February 21, 2011.

    "The DSF golf tournament is going to be an exciting event bringing together professionals in the digital signage industry for a day of fun and networking the day prior to the start of the Digital Signage Expo" said DSF Executive Director Brian Gorg.  "The tournament is being held at the TPC Las Vegas and is open to anyone who would like to enjoy a day on the course with others in the digital signage industry.  The DSF is very excited to announce that proceeds from this tournament will help support our work with DSF student chapters.  Without the support of our wonderful sponsor partners, this would not be possible."

    Professional membership association the Digital Signage Federation (DSF) announced today that two of its leadership positions have been given places on the Digital Signage Experts Group (DSEG) certification advisory board.  The standing DSF Chairman, currently Rich Cooley, CEO & Founder of Visser Digital Media, and the DSF Executive Director, Brian Gorg, will have seats on the DSEG advisory board.

    "The DSF believes that certification and education programs like those offered by the DSEG are critical components in developing the highest level of professionalism within our membership and the industry" said DSF Executive Director Brian Gorg.  "The DSF is proud to sit in an advisory capacity to advance the mission of the DSEG programs and increase the value they provide to our membership.

    Professional membership association the Digital Signage Federation (DSF) announced today the adoption of the Digital Signage Experts Group (DSEG) industry certifications for inclusion in the DSF's efforts to establish industry standards, promote professionalism, and provide continuity of education for the digital signage industry.
