GRTC Transit System Awards Five-Year IDIQ Digital Signage Contract to Connectpoint, Industry Leading Provider of Multiple Award-Winning Solar and AC Powered Digital Signage Products

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., March 30, 2023 – Connectpoint®, the leading provider of ePaper technology-based real-time passenger information to the U.S. transportation industry, today announced that the Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) has awarded the company a new contract for multiple digital signage products including the six-time award-winning Connectpoint® Digital Bus Stop displays to be deployed throughout the transit system. The announcement was made today by Rick Wood, CEO and President, Connectpoint.

The first tranche of digital signage products to be installed will be the Connectpoint solar-powered 13” Digital Bus Stop Displays, to be deployed at GRTC’s Downtown Transfer Station in downtown Richmond. The signage will also include Connecpoint’s award-winning Falcon, an ADA Text to Speech device. GRTC will deploy additional signage from Connectpont’s suite of products that also include the Digital Bus Stop available in 3 additional sizes–22, 32”, and 42” as well as LED signage options.
