Objective of Project:
Madame Tussauds, the international celebrity wax museum, was looking for a way to reach millennials through social media marketing. With existing displays in their Hollywood, Las Vegas, Washington D.C., and NYC locations, they wanted to showcase guests’ social media posts live, on the big screen. In order to do so, Madame Tussauds needed a digital signage software that included social media integrations.
Enplug’s digital signage software offers a live social media wall that allows Madame Tussauds to show Instagram and Twitter posts in real-time on their display (along with the proper profanity filtering options). The live social media wall entices guests to share their photos from the museum, which also generates free promotion for the Madame Tussauds brand on social.
Outcome of the Project:
The live social media wall was a hit among guests, who would post selfies with the wax statues to the big screen. Madame Tussauds even generated a social media campaign involving the displays, where guests would be entered into a raffle for posting their best selfie.
Colin Thomas, general manager at Madame Tussauds Hollywood, loves the engagement the display inspires:
“It’s better than any sales pitch we could come up with for Tussauds,” Colin said. “The biggest value is that it gets in front of people before they even visit, giving them ideas and showing them what you can do inside.”
